Volume Remap Privacy Policy

Overview

Volume Remap is an Android app that lets you control music playback using your device's hardware volume buttons. It is published by Brydon Creative ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. Volume Remap does not require an account or sign-in, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and does not connect to the internet for its core functionality.

Data stored on your device

The app stores a small amount of data locally on your phone using Android's private app storage. This data never leaves your device unless you back up your phone through your own account or device settings. Locally stored data may include:

• Your volume-button gesture mappings (for example, skip, pause, or volume)
• App preferences, such as whether remapping applies only when the screen is off
• Whether you have completed the in-app onboarding flow

You can remove this data by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app.

Accessibility service

Volume Remap uses an Android accessibility service to detect hardware volume key presses and trigger media actions. The service is used only for that purpose. It does not read screen content, inspect other apps, automate UI interactions, or send data off your device.

You can enable or disable the service at any time in your device's Accessibility settings.

Third parties

We do not share your information with third parties. The app does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or social login services.

Children's privacy

Volume Remap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
